Noor Halden

Noor Halden photographed at night, in the margins, where the neon said everything. Her work carries the particular energy of a city that hasn't gone to sleep.

Noor Halden uses practical light only: a motel sign, a street lamp, a single bulb over a doorway. The result is high contrast with heavy grain, and many of her issues are in black and white or washed in pink and blue neon.

Wet pavement, rooftops, diners and late trains set the scene, and her work suits Portfolio and Cover Story issues, where mood matters more than a tidy story. Noor is a fictional style created for Galshots, not a real photographer.
