Galshots / Ines Calder
Ines Calder
Ines Calder made her name shooting in borrowed light. Sun-faded and warm, her images look like something you found rather than something that was made for you.
Ines Calder shoots daylight on 35mm. Her issues have the sun-faded color of old holiday prints: warm highlights, salt haze, long shadows and soft edges that blur the corners of the frame. Everything looks like late afternoon, and a little too bright to look at directly.
Pools, balconies, beaches and open windows are her territory, which makes her the natural fit for On Location issues. Ines is a fictional style created for Galshots, not a real photographer.
